Dr. Joshua Jackson is a dual board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine, recognized nationally for his patient-centered approach to complex medical care. With advanced fellowship training from New York Presbyterian Hospital and specialized clinical rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Jackson brings a depth of experience to his mission: to elevate quality of life for patients and families navigating serious illness.

Dr. Jackson serves as Medical Director of Supportive Medicine Specialists, PC, and is a clinical leader across hospital, outpatient, and community-based care settings. His work focuses on improving communication, aligning medical treatments with patient values, and advancing evidence-based strategies in serious illness care. He plays an integral role in system-wide ethics and quality committees, including those guiding the allocation of scarce resources and cancer care standards.
An esteemed educator and thought leader, Dr. Jackson frequently lectures at regional and national medical conferences, offering insight into shared decision-making, healthcare ethics, and value-based care. His presentations span disciplines—geriatrics, cardiology, neurocritical care, wound management, and health systems innovation.
His contributions have been recognized in Atlanta Magazine's “Top Doctors” list (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) and U.S. News & World Report's “Top Doctors in the United States.” He has published widely, including opinion pieces in Modern Healthcare and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and has led award-winning research on quality improvement in hospital medicine.
Dr. Jackson earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from McMaster University and completed his medical degree at St. George’s University. He remains deeply committed to clinical excellence, equity in care, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
